Notice the blocks of wood attached to the edges of the molds. This photo illustrates how the c-clamps are used to hold the strips in place while the glue sets. You will see a clamp across the junction of the strip edges between each of the station molds and a clamp holding the strip to the edge of the mold using the blocks.

This Classic Dinghy hull was built using plain rectangular strips. Notice in this photo that a hot glue gun is used to edge glue the strips. Many strip hulls have been built using this technique. It is a very easy assembly method but the downside is the amount of cleanup necessary to remove excess hot glue after the hull is finished.
