Cedar Strip Small Craft Construction

This 12 foot Fisherman hull had very little damage on it from the assembly process as a result of using blocks on the molds to clamp the strips in place. The hull was quickly sanded smooth and faired, given two coats of epoxy and is now ready for fiberglassing.

Suggestions for using epoxy:  Always use separate measuring cups for the epoxy resin and hardener. Pour the resin and hardener into a container for mixing.  Mix the epoxy for at least two minutes to insure proper curing.  Pour the epoxy into a plastic paint tray liner.  Do not mix any more epoxy than you can use within about five minutes.  Use only foam rollers and foam brushes.
