Notice in this photo that the transom is resting on top of the pieces of wood extending from under the notches in stations 9 and 10 out past the transom.

The transom is resting against the transom mounts which are attached to station 10. I place a piece of two-sided carpet layers tape on the ends of the transom mounts to help hold the transom in place until the first strips have been attached at the centerline and the sheerline on both sides of the molds.
