9 Ft. Yacht Tender Saturday July 20 2002 Hi John.
When I started building the yacht tender on September 25th 2000 I determined that
it would be strictly a hobby project and gave myself two years to complete it. Looks
like I came in a couple of months ahead of schedule. I am very impressed with the
design and I can't wait to see the new sailboats you are currently designing. My boat
has positive flotation foam in the bow and stern seats which are made from plywood
and then covered with birch and mahogany door skin to make a sort of wedge pattern.
The transom is redwood and is an inch and a half thick. The center seat is extra big
to accommodate my big butt and is two different shades of mahogany. I'm putting a check
in the mail for the ID plate. Thanks for two years of learning, fun and the satisfaction
of completing your beautiful design.

Moses Lake, WA Wednesday July 24, 2002 Hi John. The check for twenty dollars went out in today’s mail. The ID plate will be the finishing touch to what has been a great project. Thanks again for making your beautiful design available to the public. I am extremely - not a handyman - but I ripped all the strips myself and routered the bead and cove into them. The fact that I was able to complete the yacht tender makes me think anyone with a little determination and perseverance should be able to build one of these boats. I have people misspell my last name a lot by putting an extra "S" in it, so for the ID plate, here it is. Steve Fesler
