14' Classic Dinghy

Hi John,
I bought your plans for the Classic Dinghy in 2003 and decided to make the boat to start my retirement off properly.  It took me five months to complete the project. I modified the boat by making it 14 feet long and putting in a 3-1/2 horsepower in-board motor. It handles beautifully.  It was by far the most exciting project that I have ever built.  I  also made a sail and tried my hand at sailing, but without much knowledge in that area I didn't find it to be much fun.   I used the boat all last summer for fishing in the Kankakee River. When ever I take it anywhere I am asked about the  boat and told what a beauty it is.  Thanks for all the pleasure I have gotten out of this project. I am sending some  pictures of the boat. I am very new to scanning and sending pictures so if they are not with this e-mail please let me know and I will try again.

Sincerely,
Jim Mueller

Congratulations to Jim on a boat-building job, well done!
