John At the time I built this project, I didn't own a table saw. So, I went to a local cabinet shop and got a sink cutout. I mounted my circular saw, then plunged the blade through, and attached a 1 by for a fence (measuring carefully to get it parallel to the blade). Most of the strips came out fairly uniform thickness. The final boat did come out very nice. People admire her wherever we go. I still use it as the tender to my 30 foot Catalina "miss Higgins." I now have a full shop that rivals Norm's NYWS. I am still building cedar (and other species) strip boats. Thanks for getting me started. Ric Blamer
