This boat was constructed 1998-2004 (I was in no rush to complete the job) as a family project for my wife and five children.  It is strip-planked with western red cedar.  I deviated from the plans slightly -- replacing the mahogany thwarts with caned, canoe-style seats.  This required making them removable, which was a fun and interesting challenge.   This hull is very well designed and moves through the water with little effort.  We built the oars of ash.

Congratulations to William on a boat-building job, well done!
